There may have been a new addition to the options for Arizona sports betting sites on Friday.

WynnBET and the San Carlos Apache Tribe have partnered to pursue a sports betting license, expanding WynnBET’s presence to its 16th state. This collaboration adds to the list of jurisdictions where WynnBET is operating or preparing to launch.

To secure the Arizona gambling license, WynnBET Arizona will partner with the San Carlos Apache Tribal Gaming Enterprise, which oversees Apache Gold Casino and Apache Sky Casino.

Sports betting will launch in Arizona on Sept. 9, just in time for the start of the 2021 NFL season. The Dallas Cowboys will go head-to-head with the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Arizona Cardinals will kick off their season on Sept. 12, playing against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.

On Wednesday, Bally’s and the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury finalized a 15-year agreement, marking Bally’s first gaming access deal with a professional women’s sports team. This partnership allows Bally’s entry into its 15th state.

Following the approval of a mobile sports betting license by the ADG, the Mercury has formed a partnership with Bally’s to introduce and manage an online betting platform in the state. In addition, Bally’s will operate a physical sportsbook near the Phoenix Suns Arena, home to the Mercury, and promote its offerings during Mercury games.

Other Announced Partnerships

During the spring, the PGA Tour and DraftKings announced plans to launch a luxury retail sportsbook at TPC Scottsdale, the site of the Waste Management Phoenix Open where Brooks Koepka emerged as the champion in early February.

The 2022 edition is set to take place from February 10th to 13th.

DraftKings and the PGA Tour are expanding their existing partnership to bring DraftKings AZ Sportsbook retail and mobile sports betting to Arizona.

DraftKings has been selected as the official sports betting partner of the annual Waste Management Phoenix Open held at TPC Scottsdale.

Together, they share a goal to create a lively “19th hole” experience at TPC Scottsdale, offering fans a permanent destination to enjoy betting, sports viewing, and delicious food and beverages.

Both organizations have announced that they are working together with the City of Scottsdale and the Thunderbirds, organizers of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, to enhance the project and maximize its benefits for the local community in terms of boosting economic growth, promoting tourism, and increasing charitable donations.

TPC Scottsdale is currently looking at different locations for the retail sportsbook, and further details will be announced at a later time.

The Phoenix Suns and FanDuel Sportsbook Arizona have entered into a multiyear partnership agreement after Gov. Doug Ducey signed sports betting legislation on April 15. This partnership names FanDuel Sportsbook as the official sportsbook and Daily Fantasy Sports partner of the Suns.

FanDuel will be opening a retail sportsbook inside the Phoenix Suns Arena as part of the NBA betting agreement in Arizona. The completion of the sportsbook is expected before the start of the 2021-22 NBA season.

In May, Caesars Entertainment announced a partnership with the Arizona Diamondbacks to build a sportsbook and bar on the plaza near Chase Field in downtown Phoenix. The new venue, replacing Game 7 Grill, will feature a sportsbook, sports bar, and broadcast studio.

The deal between AZ MLB and Caesars grants Caesars mobile market access and sponsorship opportunities for sports betting and daily fantasy sports with the Diamondbacks.
