The NHL.com analysts anticipate that the Coyotes will choose a mix of offensive and defensive players in this year’s draft. Adam Kimelman forecasts that Arizona will draft Austrian defenseman David Reinbacher with the sixth overall pick and Owen Sound winger Colby Barlow with the 12th pick.

Kimelman’s colleague, Mike G. Morreale, predicts that the Arizona team will choose Swedish center Dalibor Dvorsky with the sixth pick in the draft, and then select U.S. Under-18 team center Oliver Moore.

BetMGM Sportsbook Arizona has removed the odds for the first pick in the NHL Draft, as it is widely anticipated that Connor Bedard will be chosen by Chicago as the top pick.

Yengols.com examined the Coyotes’ draft selections by evaluating their impact on the ice, utilizing point shares data sourced from Hockey-Reference.com.

Arizona is still awaiting the return from the 2022 draft.

While none of Arizona’s 2022 NHL Draft picks have seen ice time with the Coyotes, two of the team’s nine selections from 2021 have already made their debut. Nevertheless, we can assess which players have brought the most value to the team in the past ten years.

Since being drafted in 2013, Max Domi has proven to be a valuable asset for not only the Coyotes but also several other NHL teams, including the Canadiens, Blue Jackets, Hurricanes, Blackhawks, and Stars. In his 581 NHL games, Domi has scored 121 goals and contributed 249 assists.

Domi’s career point shares of 34.6 outperformed those of Clayton Keller (33.6 point shares) and Jacob Chychrun (31.0 point shares), who were both 2016 first round picks. This achievement secured Domi the top position on the Coyotes’ draft value ranking.

Dylan Strome, the No. 3 pick from 2015 with 21.6 point shares, and Conor Garland, the 123rd pick from the same draft with 20.5 point shares, are among the top five players for Arizona.

Adin Hill, the rising star goaltender from the Stanley Cup champion Las Vegas Golden Knights this season, has earned the seventh-highest point shares (16.0) among all Coyotes draft picks since 2013.
