Where does Wildcats’ Fisch rank among the best in Pac-12 against the spread?
Coach Jedd Fisch has been guiding the Arizona Wildcats as they undergo a thorough rebuilding process.
During Fisch’s first two seasons in Tucson, the Wildcats have seen a consistent rise in their year-end win total, going from 1-11 in 2021 to 5-7 in the previous year.
BetMGM Sportsbook Arizona has set the Wildcats’ preseason win total at five for this autumn, with the over at +115 and the under at -140.
Yengols.com analyzed data from TeamRankings.com to compare Fisch’s performance against his Pac-12 peers in terms of betting against the spread, identifying the coaches with the strongest ATS records.
This list only includes games from the coach’s current tenure, excluding interim coaching games and teams with new coaches for the 2023 season.
Pac-12 Coaches Opposing the Spread
Arizona sports betting sites have USC as a strong contender this season, with odds of +1400 to win the national championship. However, Georgia is the current favorite, with odds of +225.
Fisch Faces Challenges with ATS
After three years as the Arizona coach, they are currently tied for last place in ATS record among the nine Pac-12 coaches with at least a season under their belt. Their overall record stands at 12-12.
Fisch and Chip Kelly both finished their coaching tenures at UCLA with identical ATS records of 27-27-2.
The top ATS coaches in the Conference of Champions were Kalen DeBoer of Washington, Jake Dickert of Washington State, and Dan Lanning of Oregon, all boasting an 8-5 record (61.5% each). Jonathan Smith of Oregon State was right on their heels with a 34-22-1 record (60.7%).
