Phoenix Raceway and Barstool are still in the process of planning to open a retail sportsbook in Arizona.

Phoenix Raceway is currently strategizing their entrance into the retail Arizona sportsbook market, with the timing of their move still uncertain.

According to a track representative, a physical sportsbook at Phoenix Raceway has always been part of the plans, but construction timelines have not yet been determined. The information was shared via email with yengols.com on Thursday.

After its completion, the Phoenix Raceway facility will join the expanding roster of sportsbooks in Arizona, such as the FanDuel Sportsbook at Footprint Center, Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field, the BetMGM Sportsbook currently being built at State Farm Stadium, and the DraftKings facility at TPC Scottsdale.

Professional sports franchises in Arizona have licenses for sports betting apps, resulting in the existence of five retail locations.

At present, there are no on-site retail sportsbooks at any NASCAR tracks. However, it is expected that retail sportsbooks will be opened at Bristol Speedway in Tennessee and Martinsville Raceway in Virginia, as both states already offer mobile sports betting.

Kansas Speedway, where Hollywood Casino is located and owned by Penn National Gaming, the same company that owns Barstool Sportsbook, is getting ready to open a retail sportsbook once the state’s market is up and running later this year.
