Circa Sports has reported that the Arizona Cardinals are favored to be the first team to win a game, with odds at +460. Betting apps in Arizona also predict the Cardinals to be the last team without a victory, with odds at +420.
It is evident to all Cardinals fans why the team is facing difficulties. Star quarterback Kyler Murray is in the process of recovering from surgery on his right knee’s ACL, which was injured late last season in Week 14. The earliest possible timeframe for his return is around mid-season. Despite having Murray, Arizona has encountered team challenges.
Tampa Bay, missing Tom Brady, is in second place in Circa’s prop bet for the last team to win a game, with odds of +775. Houston and the Los Angeles Rams are tied closely behind at +1100, followed by Tennessee at +1300, Indianapolis and Carolina at +1400, and Las Vegas at +1500.
Chiefs and Eagles Lead the Way in Win Streaks
The Philadelphia Eagles are currently the frontrunners with odds of +650 in the season-opening streak prop bet, forecasting which team will remain undefeated the longest. The defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Cincinnati Bengals are close behind with odds of +775.
Arizona sports betting sites have Kansas City as the favorite to win the Super Bowl with odds of +600, while Philadelphia is listed as second with odds of +750.
When comparing the two betting propositions of the last NFL team to lose and the last team to win, the prop concerning losing may be less influenced by unforeseen circumstances such as injuries or suspensions.
Losing their starting quarterback to injury would definitely compromise the Eagles’ or Chiefs’ chances of continuing their winning streak.
However, the injuries to the Cardinals, although unfortunate, are unlikely to diminish Arizona’s chances of remaining without a win.
