Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino has introduced Caesars Sportsbook to the Arizona sports betting scene.
The newest tribal betting facility in Arizona opened its doors to the public this week, located on the outskirts of Phoenix.
A new Caesars Sportsbook retail location opened at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino in Maricopa on Thursday.

The temporary facility currently offers four self-service betting kiosks and two betting windows, with additional kiosks expected to be added in the upcoming year.
The Harrah’s Caesars sportsbook is the fourth to launch in the Valley, coming after the BetMGM Arizona sportsbooks opened at all three Gila River Hotels & Casinos locations.
The betting windows are open during the following hours: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays, and 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays. The kiosks are accessible 24/7.
The Ak-Chin Indian Community, one of 10 Arizona tribes awarded a sports betting license by the Department of Gaming, has teamed up with Fubo Gaming to debut their sportsbook by the end of 2021. Setting a new precedent, the tribe has secured agreements with both Fubo Gaming for online betting and Caesars for retail sportsbook services, making them the first tribe in Arizona to collaborate with two distinct sports betting partners.
The opening of Caesars this week represents a new beginning for Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Senior Vice President and General Manager Michael Kintner, ushering in a new era for customers in Arizona.
In the press release, Kintner enthusiastically announced that Harrah’s Ak-Chin guests now have the exciting opportunity to place bets on their beloved sports teams at the casino. With options including kiosks, betting windows, and the convenient Caesars Sportsbook mobile app, sports enthusiasts can now indulge in a top-tier betting experience with Caesars Sportsbook at Harrah’s Ak-Chin.
What tribes operate retail sportsbooks in Arizona?
Five tribes in Arizona, such as the Ak-Chin Indian Community and Gila River Indian Community in Phoenix, along with the Pascua Yaqui tribe and Tohono O’odham Nation in Tucson, have introduced retail sportsbooks.
The facilities at Casino del Sol, operated by Scientific Gaming on behalf of the Pascua Yaqui tribe, and the Kambi Group facilities at the Desert Diamond locations in Sahuarita, Tucson, Why, and Glendale, operated by the Tohono O’odham tribe, are either currently available to the public or will open in 2022.
In different areas of the Valley region, Betfred Arizona and We-Ko-Pah Casino have teamed up to install eight self-service kiosks at the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation-owned property.
Both the Quechan Tribe (Unibet Arizona) and San Carlos Apache Tribe (WynnBET Arizona) have been licensed to open retail locations in Arizona but have not done so yet. Nevertheless, both tribes are currently operating betting apps in the state.
You can now find BetMGM Arizona sportsbooks at Gila River Hotels & Casinos’ Vee Quiva, Wild Horse Pass, and Lone Butte properties, as well as at the TwinSpires Sportsbook Arizona facility at the Tonto Apache’s Mazatzal Hotel & Casino property in Payson.
In August, licenses for mobile sports betting operators were granted to 10 Arizona tribes by the Arizona Department of Gaming. Any tribe that is a signatory on the 2021 gaming compact is permitted to provide retail sports wagering on tribal land.
