Fubo Sportsbook, the newest sports betting app in Arizona, has been launched.
In Arizona, Fubo Gaming is the 12th mobile operator to introduce its sports betting app site.
On Monday, the company officially launched its Arizona sports betting product after initially planning to do so in the fourth quarter of 2021.
By taking this action, the operator based in Chicago has now become the 12th operator to launch in the state of Grand Canyon, surpassing SuperBook Sports.
On Thursday, it was announced that SuperBook Sports will be starting operations in Arizona from December 27 to January 3.
In an interview with yengols.com, Fubo Sportsbook President Scott Butera declared that the company is ready to begin its operations in Arizona.
Butera enthusiastically talked about his excitement of being in Arizona, noting that the state has rapidly grown into a successful sports betting market since its introduction.

Fubo Sportsbook, in partnership with the Ak-Chin Indian Community, was one of 18 operators approved for mobile licenses by the Arizona Department of Gaming.
Butera noted that the company’s app-to-streaming capabilities are a good fit for the Arizona market, where there is a strong demand for FuboTV and increased name recognition can drive even more interest.
Butera clarified that their wagering approach stands out due to their full integration with TV, video streaming, and gaming. In contrast to other media companies, their media entity is prepared to undergo the licensing process for gaming, enabling their product to be seamlessly integrated and synchronized.
Fubo Sportsbook users can watch a soccer match on FuboTV while simultaneously seeing betting lines and important information on their screen, creating a seamless and immersive viewing and betting experience from the convenience of their home.
Butera mentioned that they host more than 50,000 sports events each year and Arizona is an ideal location for their market because of its geography. They are excited about their strong partnership in Arizona and have found a perfect location that enhances their distinct features in the viewing and betting experience.

Butera emphasizes the partnership between Fubo Sportsbook and the Ak-Chin Indian Community, which includes a mobile-only sportsbook agreement. In addition, the Ak-Chin Indian Community has a retail sportsbook partnership with Caesars Sportsbook at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino.

As the mobile operator, we ensure there are no conflicts with the activities at the Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino property. Our objective is to increase foot traffic to the property and mutually benefit from the partnership.
Because of the difference in regulatory jurisdictions between gaming on reservations and mobile wagering off reservations, the tribe can have multiple operator partners.
Developing Arizona as Fubo’s primary hub on the West Coast.
After debuting in Iowa in November, Fubo Sportsbook has now expanded to its second state, Arizona. The company also has agreements in place to enter the markets of Pennsylvania, Indiana, and New Jersey.
In November 2021, the company launched its sportsbook division under the FuboTV umbrella, a live TV streaming platform.
Butera views Arizona as the primary market in the western region, with a population of 7.7 million, outpacing Iowa (3.1 million) and Indiana (6.7 million) in terms of population.

Which tribes have initiated mobile operations?
Fubo Sportsbook has collaborated with Betfred Arizona (McDowell Yavapai Nation), Unibet Arizona (Quechan Tribe), WynnBET Arizona (San Carlos Apache Tribe), and TwinSpires Sportsbook Arizona (Tonto Apache Tribe) to introduce sportsbook apps tied to tribal connections.
In August, mobile licenses were granted to the Golden Nugget (Hualapai Tribe), Digital Gaming (San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe), and the Navajo Nation (TBA). However, they have not yet commenced their operations.
Who has a license to operate in Arizona?
In August, the ADG approved licenses for 18 operators, including 10 tribal operators and eight professional sports teams.
In 2021, tribes participating in the compact are permitted to offer retail sports betting services on their tribal lands. The Ak-Chin Indian Community, Gila River Indian Community, Tohono O’odham, and Pascua Yaqui Tribe have all introduced retail sportsbooks in the recent past.
