Cardinals’ Super Bowl Betting Odds in Arizona Take Hit Following Schedule Announcement

Certain Arizona betting apps were underwhelmed by the Arizona Cardinals’ comeback to the NFL Playoffs following a five-year hiatus.

Kliff Kingsbury’s team is currently ranked averagely in terms of Super Bowl LVII and playoff odds on Arizona NFL betting sites. These odds were updated after the release of the NFL’s full 2022 regular season schedule, which includes the Cardinals hosting Kansas City at 1:25 p.m. Arizona time in Week 1 on CBS.

Arizona’s chances of success in 2022 are slim, largely because All-Pro WR DeAndre Hopkins has been suspended for six games following a failed performance enhancing drug test. This, coupled with the underwhelming results of the Cardinals’ last season, has not impressed oddsmakers with their potential.

The Cardinals had a promising start last year, winning their first seven games, but finished with an 11-6 record after quarterback Kyler Murray and Hopkins got injured. Arizona’s season came to an end with a 34-11 loss to the eventual Super Bowl LVI champions, the L.A. Rams, in the NFC Wild Card Round.

Cardinals are slightly favored in Week 1.

Odds for the Cardinals’ Week 1 game against the Chiefs are already available on Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona, and FanDuel Sportsbook Arizona.

The Cardinals are favored by +3 against Patrick Mahomes & Co. on all three lists, with DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona providing the most favorable odds for Arizona at +130.

Caesars Sportsbook Arizona is offering odds of +140 on the Cardinals, while FanDuel Sportsbook Arizona has them at +132.

Oddsmakers are not optimistic about the Cardinals’ chances to win Super Bowl LVII.

Super Bowl LVII will be held at the Cardinals’ stadium next February, but oddsmakers are not predicting the home team to continue the trend of winning the championship in their own stadium for the third consecutive time.

The odds for Arizona to win Super Bowl LVI range from +2500 at BetMGM to +3500 at DraftKings, putting them in a position tied for 11th with Indianapolis or tied for 15th with Tennessee.

The Cardinals have +2700 odds to win Super Bowl LVII on FanDuel Sportsbook Arizona, placing them 14th among the 32 teams.

Caesars Sportsbook Arizona has the Cardinals at +3000 odds to win the championship in 2023, tying them with Miami and the Colts for 14th place.
