Betfred Launches Arizona Sports Betting Retail Operation at We-Ko-Pah Casino

Betfred Arizona has officially launched its retail sports betting services at We-Ko-Pah Casino Resort, expanding the range of sports betting opportunities available in the state.

The retail gaming experience at the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation casino now features eight self-service Betfred sports betting kiosks, with four situated on the casino floor and the remaining four located inside the WKP Sports & Entertainment restaurant, as announced in a company press release.

Patrons have the option to utilize the kiosks for placing straight bets, futures, parlays, teasers, or in-play wagers. Additionally, they can conveniently insert their winning tickets into the kiosks to continue making additional bets.

Bryan Bennett, COO of Betfred Sports, expressed enthusiasm about the launch of new self-service kiosks at We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort, providing Arizona sports bettors with an improved betting experience. The full Betfred Sportsbook is set to be unveiled in early 2022.

Another choice available in the Arizona sports betting market

The We-Ko-Pah sportsbook facility is the newest addition to Arizona’s growing list of tribal sports betting venues.

In September, BetMGM Arizona began operating at Gila River Hotels & Casino’s three casinos, while TwinSpires Sportsbook Arizona opened a retail location at the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino in Payson, which is owned by the Tonto Apache Tribe.

SolSports, the newest sportsbook venue, recently opened at Casino Del Sol in Tucson. Operated by Scientific Gaming, it is the first sports betting facility in Southern Arizona.

The implementation of sports betting at the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation casino is a significant milestone that is poised to greatly influence both the nation and the local community.

Mary Ketterling, the General Manager of We-Ko-Pah, believes that the facility has the potential to become a top destination for gamblers.

Ketterling announced that the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation’s goal for the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort is to become the premier destination for both locals and tourists looking for high-quality gaming options. With the addition of sports betting, they are making strides towards their vision of offering a complete gaming experience at their impressive casino.

Who is next in line to open a shop in Arizona?

Unibet Arizona, run by the Quechan Tribe, and WynnBET Arizona, operated by the San Carlos Apache Tribe, have both launched mobile sports betting services in the state without establishing a brick-and-mortar retail presence.

The exact release date for the mobile application of Betfred Arizona, which is one of 18 operators authorized to offer sports betting in August by the Department of Gaming, is currently unknown. Attempts to reach out to the company have been unsuccessful.

SuperBook Sports (Fort Mohave Indian Tribe), Golden Nugget (Hualapai Tribe), and Fubo Gaming (Ak-Chin Indian Community) are licensed operators who have not yet begun offering online or in-person betting services.

Fubo Gaming has recently launched its website in Iowa and is on track to have its Arizona site operational by the end of 2021, as planned.
