Supporters of the Arizona State football program have faced a challenging period, witnessing the dismissal of four head coaches since the conclusion of the 2010 season – surpassing the team’s three bowl victories.
The Sun Devils’ record from 2010 to 2023 was 89-81 (.524), with no College Football Playoff appearances or Pac-12 titles. The team experienced its most successful seasons in 2013 and 2014 under coach Todd Graham, achieving two 10-win seasons. In 2013, they lost in the Holiday Bowl, while in 2014, they secured a victory over Duke in the Sun Bowl.

ASU ranks 12th in recruiting since 2020 among the 16 teams in the newly expanded Big 12 Conference, falling behind three of the four Pac-12 teams that are also making the move to the conference.
Among the 16 teams, Arizona State University’s rivals from Tucson have the eighth-best recruiting ranking with a score of 50.6. Utah has the highest score among the four teams at 36.6. The top recruiting programs among the 16 schools since 2020 were TCU (34.8), Utah (36.6), West Virginia (41.2), Oklahoma State (42.4), and Texas Tech (43).
Arizona State came in just behind UCF in recruiting rankings, with UCF averaging 53.8 and Kansas State ranking 10th overall at 52.6. Arizona betting apps show that Arizona, Kansas State, and Utah are all tied at +7500 for the best title odds among Big 12 teams to win the national championship.
