Fact Checked by Young Ruth

The 2022 World Cup, the biggest soccer tournament globally, is set to kick off in Doha, Qatar on Monday, over 8,000 miles away from Arizona.

The US men’s team will make their first appearance in the 2022 event after missing the 2014 competition. They are set to face off against Wales at Al Rayyan Stadium on Monday at noon.

Following that, the U.S. team must defeat either England or Iran to advance beyond the group stage, a task they successfully completed in 2014.

To celebrate the biggest sporting event of the year, downtown Phoenix retail sportsbooks are hosting a range of promotions for customers, including special World Cup bets and soccer-themed prizes.

Check out the promotions being offered by Arizona sportsbooks during the competitions in Qatar featuring top athletes.

According to a spokesperson from the New York-based operator, yengols.com was informed that FanDuel’s main promotion for users is the World Cup Bet. This promotion offers retail users a $5 bonus bet for every $25 increment they wager on a +500 or longer parlay or single-game parlay.

The bonus bets offered at the World Cup kiosk have a maximum limit of $50 and are only valid for single-game parlays. These bets can be placed starting the day after the match and up to seven days after it concludes.

To qualify for the FanDuel promotion, bets must fall within the range of $25 to $250. Depending on the amount wagered, players will receive a bonus bet of $10 for a $50 wager, $15 for a $75 wager, and so forth.

The FanDuel World Cup retail promotion will run from midnight on Nov. 21 through 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Dec. 4.

BetMGM is providing special deals for the World Cup.

Located in New York, BetMGM Sportsbook is running four promotions for the World Cup. One of these is a $250,000 bracket challenge where users who correctly predict the winner can win the grand prize.
