The Phoenix Suns took a step closer to their first NBA title on Thursday night with a 115-109 comeback victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Monty Williams’ team clinched a series victory in six games by winning with a six-point lead, allowing the Suns to move on to face the fourth-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the next round.

The Mavericks advanced to the second round for the first time in over ten years by defeating the Utah Jazz in six games. At the same time, the Suns are looking to exceed their Western Conference championship performance from last season.

Several leading sports betting apps in Arizona have shared their predictions for the series, with most favoring the Suns.

The best-of-seven series between the Suns and Mavericks will kick off at 7 p.m. on Monday, airing on TNT and hosted in Arizona.

Schedule for Suns vs. Mavericks Series

Game 1 will take place on Monday at 7 p.m. on TNT in Phoenix. Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. on TNT in Phoenix. Game 3 will be on May 6 at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN in Dallas. Game 4 is set for May 8 at a time to be determined in Dallas. If necessary, Game 5 will be on May 10 at a time to be determined on TNT in Phoenix. Game 6, if needed, will be on May 12 at a time to be determined on ESPN in Dallas. And finally, if a Game 7 is necessary, it will be on May 15 at a time to be determined in Phoenix.

The Suns are considered a slight favorite over the Mavericks in the series.

The Suns are heavily favored in Arizona sports betting to come out on top in their series against the Mavericks.

BetMGM Arizona has the Suns as the favorite to reach the Western Conference Finals with odds of -350.

Both Caesars Sportsbook Arizona and DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona have the Suns as favorites with -300 odds to beat the Mavericks, while FanDuel Sportsbook Arizona has Phoenix at -275 to win the series.

According to Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, and FanDuel, the Suns are favored by -6 and -250 in Game 1 at the Footprint Center on Monday night.

The Suns’ journey through the playoffs has resulted in the largest variations in NBA championship odds across the four sportsbooks.

Phoenix is the preferred location for two of the four sites, with BetMGM Arizona listing them at +325 and DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona at +300 for their championship odds.

Other sources rank Phoenix second to Golden State, with Caesars Sportsbook giving the Suns odds of +340 compared to the Warriors’ +320, while FanDuel Sportsbook Arizona lists Phoenix at +330 with the Warriors at +320.

Should the Suns triumph over the Mavericks in the series, they will probably face the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. The Golden State team will be matched up against the winner of the Memphis-Minnesota series.
