Is Murray able to catch Michael Vick?

We are currently waiting to assess the 26-year-old’s recovery from his ACL tear before making any additional decisions.

At the beginning of the 2023 season, Murray has accumulated a total of 2,204 rushing yards in 57 regular season games, resulting in an average of 38.7 yards per game.

If Murray continues at his current rate, he will average around 657.3 rushing yards per season. To reach Vick’s career rushing yardage of 6,109 yards, Murray would need to maintain that pace for approximately six straight seasons.

Given Murray’s career rushing yardage average of 551 yards per season, it will be a significant challenge to expect him to improve his performance on the ground, especially following a recent injury.

Murray’s odds of surpassing Vick on the NFL’s all-time rushing yardage list are at +9000, mainly due to his lower ranking compared to other current quarterbacks. For instance, Lamar Jackson of Baltimore has odds of -2000, Justin Fields of Chicago at -200, Jalen Hurts of Philadelphia at -175, and Josh Allen of Buffalo at +110.

The Cardinals are entering the season with low expectations, as BetMGM Arizona has given them odds of +20000 to win the Super Bowl, tying them for last in the NFL.
