Wallen leads ahead of ‘King George’

Wallen’s potential inclusion on Arizona sports betting apps would be a surprising upset, as he currently holds the lead over George Strait. This unexpected development has surprised fans of the older generation. George Strait follows Wallen in second place, with Shania Twain in third, Chris Stapleton in fourth, and Luke Combs and Carrie Underwood tied for fifth.

Wallen’s third album, “One Thing at a Time,” was released on March 3 and quickly propelled him to even greater fame. All 36 tracks from the album debuted on the Billboard Top 100 chart, with the single “Last Night” dominating the No. 1 spot for an impressive 17 consecutive weeks and a total of 18 weeks.

After his second album, “Dangerous: The Double Album,” was released in January 2021, Wallen received criticism for a video where he used a racial slur. This led to the album being disqualified from certain awards. The ex-“The Voice” contestant apologized multiple times and donated to try to make up for his behavior.

Wallen is embarking on his “One Night At A Time World Tour” across North America this summer and fall. The tour will wrap up with a performance at London’s O2 Arena on December 3, 2023.

Strait remains a dominant force.

Strait is a revered icon in the world of country music, often regarded as the pinnacle of stardom in the genre. Since 1981, he has made a lasting impact with an impressive 60 No. 1 hit songs spanning 30 studio albums. In comparison, Wallen’s appeal may be viewed as temporary by older country music enthusiasts. At the age of 71, Strait is celebrated as the reigning monarch of country music in the present day.

Strait has not been seen on the road much since his 2014 “The Cowboy Rides Away” tour, but he has lined up some stadium performances this year alongside Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town in Seattle, Denver, Nashville, and Tampa, Florida. Additionally, he has scheduled two shows for November 17-18 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Twain broke barriers for female country music artists in 1993 and has sold over 100 million records, solidifying herself as the top female country artist in history. She has released six studio albums, four of which have topped the country charts. Her most recent album, “The Queen In Me,” was released in February and reached No. 2 on the charts. Twain is currently on a world tour with shows in North America and Europe, with upcoming performances in Texas in July and October, excluding Arizona.

Stapleton’s newest album, “Starting Over,” was released in November 2020 and was awarded Album of the Year or Best Country Album by both the Country Music Association and the Grammy Awards. Currently on tour in the United States, Stapleton will be performing in Denver alongside Strait on June 24, but there is no confirmed date for a show in Arizona.

Since 2014, Combs has been captivating audiences with his music. His debut album, “This One’s For You,” skyrocketed him to fame in 2017 by going five times platinum and dominating the No. 1 spot for an unprecedented 50 weeks. With four albums under his belt, including “Gettin’ Old” in 2023 and “Growin’ Up” in 2022, Combs is currently on a tour across the United States. His future plans include traveling to Australia, New Zealand, and Europe starting on August 9, with two final shows at London’s O2 Arena in late October.
