This week, Betfred Sportsbook in Arizona achieved full functionality by launching its betting apps, in addition to the desktop site that was released in January.

From late January, the company has been conducting a soft launch in collaboration with We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation. Golden Nugget and the Kambi Group also quietly began operating during this time.

In late November, Betfred expanded its presence in the state by launching eight retail kiosks at the We-Ko-Pa Casino.

The Impact of Betfred on the Arizona Market

The COO of Betfred, Bryan Bennett, expressed excitement about the company’s entry into the fast-growing sports betting market during Monday’s launch, highlighting the significant growth opportunities it presents.

Arizona disclosed on Tuesday that it had reached nearly $500 million in handle for December’s sports betting figures.

In a press release from the company, Bennett expressed excitement about the launch of Betfred Sports betting apps in the Arizona market. The team has dedicated extensive effort to provide customers in the state with unique experiences that cannot be found on any other platform.

Arizona sportsbooks had to either start mobile operations by March 8 or forfeit their license to the state.

Mary Ketterling, General Manager of We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort, announced the launch of sports betting kiosks and a temporary full-service sportsbook at the desert gaming destination three months ago. She mentioned that introducing mobile apps is another step towards offering Arizonans a seamless and top-notch sports betting experience.

The current state of the Arizona sports betting market

In late February, Hard Rock Sportsbook, Bally Bet Arizona, and Betway all started operating, completing the launch of the original 18 state sports betting licensees.

Turf Paradise Racing has announced a new partnership with Unibet to provide retail betting at the race track and eight off-track betting locations. Although the state denied Turf Paradise a mobile betting license, they were granted a limited license for in-person casino betting.

Unibet Arizona has been granted a mobile license by the Fort Yuma-Quechan Tribe and operates a retail site at the Paradise Casino in Yuma owned by the Tribe.
