Daily Fantasy Sports quickly gained popularity in Arizona in August.

This week, analysts monitoring online sports betting in Arizona received valuable information on the early accomplishments of sports wagering in the state.

The Arizona Department of Gaming announced on Monday that in the first four days of daily fantasy sports operations in the state, four operators had generated more than $175,000 in entry fees.

Daily fantasy sports in Arizona officially began on August 28, with reports showing consistent activity throughout the month.

Arizona betting apps were introduced on September 9, giving residents in the state the opportunity to engage in Arizona NFL betting for the first game of the season.

Arizona’s reporting schedule is lagging behind that of other states.

The state’s Department of Gaming announced a schedule for reporting event wagering and fantasy sports revenue on Monday.

Statistics regarding the first month of sports betting in Arizona will be released by the state on the 25th of each month, or the next business day if the 25th falls on a weekend or holiday. As a result, the full impact of sports betting in Arizona will not be known until after Thanksgiving.

Arizona has now become the last state to release its official sports betting numbers each month, thanks to a slower reporting schedule compared to Illinois, which previously held that title with data released about six weeks after the end of each month.

In an email to yengols.com, Maxwell Hartgraves, the Public Information Officer for the Arizona Department of Gaming, mentioned that Operators must submit their September figures to the Department by today (Oct. 25). The Department will spend the following month compiling, verifying, and correcting the submissions before publishing the report on their website. This process is crucial to guarantee the accuracy of all figures before they are disclosed to the public.

Arizona’s Early DFS Numbers Revealed

DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona has quickly established itself as a frontrunner in daily fantasy sports, with an impressive $75,715 in in-state entry fees reported during the opening weekend.

FanDuel Sportsbook Arizona, a well-established DFS platform, quickly followed and brought in $73,516 in revenue within its first four days of launching.

The department’s report only included FFPC, LLC with $25,835 and Yahoo Fantasy Sports with $608.25 as the other operators listed.

FFPC recorded adjusted revenue of $24,484, FanDuel Sportsbook Arizona reported $7,137 in adjusted revenue for August, and both DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona and Yahoo Fantasy Sports did not disclose any adjusted revenue for the month.

Throughout the month, the state received a total of $1,581 in privilege fees from the four fantasy sports contest operators located within the state.
