Arizona is ranked as one of the least thankful states in America.

Fact Checked by Young Ruth

Yengols.com temporarily halted their coverage of Arizona sports betting in order to examine which states are showing the most gratitude.

Decoding gratitude in an unbiased manner may pose difficulties, but we have pinpointed two crucial statistics to aid us in our investigation.

Yengols.com utilized data from two sources to compile a ranking of the 50 United States according to their level of gratitude. The first set of data was sourced from Toast, which assessed states based on their average tip percentage at restaurants in 2022. The second set of data was obtained from Google Trends, which monitored the search interest in “Thank You Notes” over the past year.

Arizona’s national standing is determined by comparing it to other states using various metrics.

Arizona ranks as one of the least grateful states in America.

Even though Arizona sportsbook apps generate the highest handle in the nation, the state of Arizona lacks in expressing gratitude, as evidenced by the absence of ‘thank you’ notes and below-average tip amounts from its residents.

Arizona was ranked 32nd in the average amount of tips given by residents across the country and 44th in the number of thank you notes searched for on a national level.

When combining two metrics, Arizona ranked 38th overall, making it the eighth state with the lowest total ranking in the country. It falls between Oklahoma (38.5) and Alaska (36.5) in the rankings.

According to a national survey, Nevada ranked as the least thankful state in the country with an average ranking of 47, followed by New Mexico at 44, Washington at 42, and California at 41.

Utah, sharing a border with Arizona to the north, is tied with Florida as the fifth least grateful state in the country, with an average ranking of 39. This continues a pattern of low rankings for the southwestern states of California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico.

Although Arizona has outperformed its four closest neighbors, there is still a lot of work needed to enhance the state’s reputation in the future. Residents can take some solace in this fact.
