Ducey approves sports betting legislation
On April 12, the Arizona state legislature approved sports betting. Just three days later, Governor Doug Ducey signed the bill, officially legalizing sports wagering across the state.
After Governor Ducey legalized online sports betting, the Phoenix Suns wasted no time in announcing their partnership with FanDuel AZ Sportsbook. The collaboration was made official on the same day, with FanDuel being named as the Suns’ official sportsbook and daily fantasy sports partner. As part of the agreement, a new FanDuel Sportsbook will be opened inside the Suns Arena for NBA betting in Arizona.

Other Partnerships Emerge
DraftKings Arizona Sportsbook and the PGA Tour have partnered to introduce a new retail sportsbook at TPC Scottsdale, home of the prestigious Waste Management Open. DraftKings is now the official sports betting partner of the annual tournament held at TPC Scottsdale.
Caesars Entertainment and the Arizona Diamondbacks have announced a collaboration to build a sportsbook and bar in close proximity to Chase Field. Under this partnership, Caesars will be able to provide mobile betting on MLB games in Arizona and will also have sponsorship opportunities with the Diamondbacks.
Bally’s and the Mercury have just finalized a historic deal, marking Bally’s first gaming access agreement with a professional women’s sports team. The 15-year partnership was officially announced on June 30th.
According to the agreement, Bally’s will manage an online platform in the state and operate a retail sportsbook near Suns Arena. They will also promote their services during Mercury contests.
