Turf Paradise Racing teams up with Unibet to launch Arizona sports betting retail outlets.

Turf Paradise Racing Partners with Unibet to Open Arizona Sports Betting Retail Locations
Fact Checked by Young Ruth

Unibet Arizona has partnered with Turf Paradise Racing in Phoenix to provide retail sports betting at the race track and eight off-track betting locations across the state.

Kindred Group, the parent company of Unibet, announced their partnership for sports betting in Arizona on Thursday via a press release.

Only Turf Paradise and Arizona Downs in Prescott Valley have been granted limited licenses in Arizona, allowing them to provide in-person sports betting at their racetracks or off-track betting sites. To be eligible for this license, these establishments must be situated at least five miles from tribal gaming facilities, event wagering venues, or other limited event wagering operators with permits from the Arizona Department of Racing.

The remaining eight limited licenses were awarded to off-track betting locations affiliated with Turf Paradise.

Those wishing to apply must pay a $1,000 application fee, which is part of the $10,000 licensing fee. In addition, a $5,000 annual renewal fee is necessary.

Expanding the Unibet brand in Arizona presents a great opportunity.

Manuel Stan, Senior Vice President of North America, explained that the choice to collaborate with Turf Paradise Racing was mainly influenced by the chance to grow Unibet’s reach in Arizona by expanding betting apps.

Stan was excited about the opportunity to grow Unibet’s brand in Arizona, where they have already formed partnerships with the Fort Yuma-Quechan Tribe and its Paradise Casino for both mobile and retail sportsbook operations.

In a company press release, Stan enthusiastically announced that Kindred had been granted nine out of ten LEWO licenses. He described this as a tremendous opportunity to grow the Unibet brand in Arizona and further build on the early successes of Kindred, Turf Paradise, and their partners in the state.

Over the next few months, we will work closely with our partners to coordinate launches in different locations. We are excited to increase the availability of our high-quality product to a wider customer base in Arizona.
