PointsBet is the most recent sports betting partner in Arizona.

The Arizona sports betting market expanded on Tuesday with the announcement of a fourth partnership in the state.

PointsBet Arizona announced on Tuesday their collaboration with Cliff Castle Casino Hotel, which is a subsidiary economic entity of the federally-recognized Yavapai-Apache Nation.

PointsBet is teaming up with the Yavapai-Apache Nation to secure a license for online sports betting in Arizona, with plans to launch in the fall.

This is the first partnership between a sports betting platform and an Indian Tribe in the state, making it the 16th state where PointsBet is licensed to provide sports betting services.

Other Partnerships

DraftKings Arizona Sportsbook and the PGA Tour announced on April 14 a partnership to launch a new retail sportsbook at TPC Scottsdale, the venue for the Waste Management Open. DraftKings is now the official sports betting partner for the annual tournament held at TPC Scottsdale.

Following closely behind the first team, the Arizona Diamondbacks became the second team in the state to announce a sports betting agreement.

On May 6, Caesars Entertainment and the Diamondbacks revealed their collaboration to build a sportsbook and bar on the plaza adjacent to Chase Field. The partnership includes Caesars gaining permission for mobile MLB betting in Arizona and securing sponsorship deals with the Diamondbacks.

On June 30, Bally’s and the Mercury formed a new partnership in the state. This 15-year agreement marks Bally’s first gaming access deal with a professional women’s sports team.

As per the agreement, Bally’s will manage and operate an online platform within the state, oversee a retail sportsbook near Phoenix Suns Arena, and promote its services during Mercury games.

New casino located outside of Phoenix.

The state of Arizona recently unveiled plans for a new casino near Phoenix, expanding its gambling options.

On July 13th, the Gila River Indian Community announced plans to build a new casino south of Chandler, expanding their collection to four casinos in total.

Azcentral.com reports that the tribe runs casinos in Wild Horse Pass and Lone Butte (Chandler) and Vee Quiva (Laveen). The new casino is expected to be completed in one-and-a-half to two years and is projected to cost approximately $100 million.

The new property will host games in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the revised compact.
